Yesterday I was feeling pretty pity-full. My pity vessel was 'up to here' with everything I HAD to do. Sure, I wanted to do and be with friends at the barbecue but I also didn't want to do everything I had to do before I got there.
So why did I do what I had to do before I got there? And, who said the had to do had enough value to warrant a piece of my own value-able time and energy in the first place?
We can only do what we can do, right? WRONG. Especially if you are an Odd Duck. We ODer's are movers, shakers and doers. We may look like we're just coasting along, making little ripples here and there, yet beneath our surface we're putting the peddle to the medal. Our Duck feet are paddling furiously pushing more waves than we wished for sometimes.
Be careful not to overdo your go motor. Plan some free and fun time for yourself. It's okay to be in the lead as long as you make sure that you give that position a break more now than then. Whatever it is you think only you can do is probably worthy of delegating to someone else or allocating to another time.
Your calendar's full. Take a break or it will break you.
